November Favourites 2016

It’s crazy how fast this month and every month this year for that matter, has gone. But it’s also really exciting because it’s getting round to Christmas Timeee!!

Anyways here’s what I’ve been loving during the course of November.

I may have bought myself just a small collection of candles at the beginning of this month. This being one of them. It smells amazing. I just have so many compliments for this candle, I feel quite sad really. Oh well, I’ve just loved burning this and it looks so asethically pleasing in my room.

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here

This itv series started this month and it’s something I look forward to all year round (maybe a slight exaggeration but just go with it). If you don’t know, a bunch of celebrities go into the jungle and compete in different ‘Bush Tucker Trials’ to achieve stars to gain meals for camp. This show makes me so happy. And one of the best things about it, is that it’s on every night for something like 3 weeks. I don’t have to wait for a week for the next episode. Also, if you watch the show, like I do, my favourites are definitely Scarlett and Adam.

Mango Body Spray

This is definitely more of a Sumer time scent. However, it just smells so fresh I can’t help but use it everyday. Also because it’s Boots own, it’s very affordable.

Rockabye – Clean Bandit feat. Sean Paul and Anne-Marie

For me, I definitely had to listen to this song a couple of times before I began to LOVE IT. I think the chorus is catchy so it’s probably going to be one of those songs I’m over within a month. But so far, it’s been at the top of my playlist.

Bourjois Blur the Lines Concealer

Something I picked up this month was this Concealer. I’ve previously used other Bourjois products like this foundation and this primer. But Bourjois has just yet to disappoint me. I love the creamy consistency of this Concealer and it reminds me a lot of the No7 match Made.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post. I didn’t have many favourites this month. But I’m so excited for December because I know there’s going to be so much more I can blog about. See you soon.

About Me

How I’ve Settled into Sixth Form

I was so close to not blogging today. And it’s not as if it was because I couldn’t be bothered or I didn’t have the time. It was that I had planned posts for every week but this one.

Anyways, back to the point of this. I wanted to do a chatty post, so I thought I’d share my opinion on Sixth Form, since I have spent more than half a term there. Before I go over the obvious advantages and how the courses are going, I thought I’d just mention that I did write about the bit of nightmare I had when I had first started. Just so I don’t have to go over it again, here is where you can read all about it.

At the minute, I’d say Photography has been one of my most enjoyable lessons. Probably because it’s still creative but there’s less of an intense work load.

If you were interested, the picture above is my final piece for a Documentary topic. We’re now onto Digital Portraiture and I’m excited to experiment with this one, because I’d never be happy with just taking a picture of a person. I want to be able to edit the picture, splash paint on it and basically do whatever I want.

Apart from the course itself, I couldn’t be happier with the teacher and I’ve made some lovely friends in the class.

Even though initially this wasn’t the subject I wanted to take, neither was it one I had much knowledge on. I am beginning to come to terms with being alright with it. It does seem to be an interesting course. And at first when I found out there was a maths section (don’t judge me if you already knew psychology included maths, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into). I kind of freaked out as I really thought I’d left maths behind me. But I got an A in the maths paper we were given for it, so I guess I have nothing to worry about, for now.
One thing, that I suppose doesn’t really help if you are reading this post trying to gain knowledge on the course. But I made the nicest friend in that class. So as part of me wishes I could have picked my original subject, I’m also super grateful I don’t have to brave psychology on my own.

I have very mixed feelings about this class. On the one hand, I love it because I have no limitations and I can be as creative as I would like to. But at the same time, I have a teacher who’s my least favourite out of the three that I have. I’ve been sat thinking for the past few minutes on how I can sum him up. And all I’ve come up with is; he’s good at giving criticism just not praise. Now I’m not saying I need him to worship the ground I walk on or anything. But I by far have put the most effort into that lesson out of my other subjects and I only ever hear improvements. Maybe it’s just something I need to get used to.

Again, I’ve made friends in that lesson. A boy     Friend. If my friend is reading this, notice the space. And a couple of other people who I sit next to. It’s been so much easier to make friends at college than anywhere else.

Advantages of College

  1. Free periods. Or should I say ‘Private Study Periods’. At the minute I don’t need to use my frees to work, I’m sure that’ll change. But for now I’ll enjoy my lie ins and early finishes that take place throughout the week.
  2. How chilled it is. You don’t get told off for not writing a note down. If you don’t get it. Your loss. Or turning up late. Your fault. However that’s not something I’m guilty of because I have to be at least 5 minutes early to everything.
  3. Teachers. I knew eventually there’d come a time where they gave you as much respect as you give them. They don’t treat you like little kids anymore. It’s great. What’s weird is calling them all by their first name.
  4. No uniform. So for me, I can wear my own clothes. Before starting the year I worried that maybe I wouldn’t have enough clothes and why couldn’t everyone just wear the same. But it’s actually so much more comfortable to wear what you like. And strangely it feels like there’s less judgement from people, even though people are free to be individual with their style.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post. I decided not to include disadvantages because for now, there isn’t really any. See you soon.

About Me

Makeup Products I’d Like to Try

Does anyone else have those products in their makeup drawer, that they never seem to get round to properly testing out? I do, so I thought I’d share them with you. Many of them are sample sizes. But all the more reason for me to try them out, to see if it would be worth buying the full sized products.

Eylure No 070

I’m starting to get much more confident with applying false lashes and these I have yet to try. The only thing that has made me hesitant until now to use them was that I have another more subtle pair of lashes I’ve been using instead.

Benefit Dew The Hoola

I have no idea why I am yet to have tried this. Maybe its because its a liquid bronzer and I’m not used to that.

Benefit Gimme Brow

I remember getting this and being super excited. But once I tried it I’m pretty sure I put too much product on because my eyebrow turned black…oops. However, I’m happy to try again and maybe be a bit more careful with application.

Benefit Operation Pore Proof

Luckily there was more than just two products in this set otherwise I may have been disappointed. But these are the only two I haven’t managed to use regularly. Hopefully, I figure out how I can use them in my usual makeup routine.

Bourjois Colour Band

This is definitely something I thought I’d use more than what I actually have. I love the shade so hopefully I find a makeup look that incorporates this.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post, its something different to what I usually upload. I would love to properly try out all these products and then review them in another post. See you soon.

About Me

October Favourites 2016

THIS IS CRAZY. I’m so incredibly grateful that 500 people decided to follow my blog. Like mine, why? I’ll never know. Thank you all so much.

Yoga With Adriene

Throughout October I successfully completed the 30 Days of Yoga Camp. Its pretty self explanatory, you do a different yoga video everyday. I could feel myself getting stronger during the month and it was one of the best things I decided to do. I’m definitely not the type of person to go for a run. So being able to do Yoga in the comfort of my room and at the times that suited me, was just an added bonus.

Anti Blister Stick

I’m not going to go into too much detail with this one because its kind of gross. Anyways, I have been using this everyday for the past month and it seems to be working. Don’t get me wrong, I still end up with red marks on the backs of my ankles but no blisters. And for that I’m grateful.

I don’t know how I can say I loved this during the whole month because I’m pretty sure I binge watched every episode within 48 hours. If you didn’t know Victoria is an 8 part drama featured on ITV. It had me hooked, so you can imagine how gutted I was when it came to the last episode and it said it wasn’t returning till 2017. Oh yeah, I should probably mention what its actually about. Its the story of Queen Victoria’s early reigning years. I didn’t think it would interest me as much as it did, so if you still can I urge you to watch it. Jenna Coleman is the leading role and I couldn’t think of anyone better, she is incredibly talented.

October is always the month that shows Autumn in full swing. And I can honestly say I’m very happy about that. I love seeing the leaves change colour, the darker nights and the fact that I can have hot chocolates and its acceptable, maybe. However, as much as I love this season, one thing I do not appreciate is how cold it is. Can Mother Nature just bring the freezing temperatures when I’m ready for it? (which is never).

The Michalaks

I’m surprisingly fussy over who I watch on YouTube. I have to really enjoy their content if I’m going to watch everything they upload. So I rarely find anyone new because I just stick to what I know. Although, a few weeks ago I found the Michalaks, I’d heard of them before but thought that they did the same as the Sacconejoly’s so I didn’t see the point in being subscribed to another family YouTube channel. How wrong I was. The Michalaks bring so much more to YouTube than just family vlogs. The editing on their videos are insane. Every week when they upload I feel like I’m about to watch an episode on TV.

Benefit They’re Real Tinted Primer

I’m pretty sure I have mentioned this in a favourites post before. But I have definitely been reaching for this a lot more recently. It creates an amazing base for Mascara and if I’m not wearing mascara then its just great to have on anyways. I usually have this just on my bottom lashes because it separates my lashes and it looks too clumpy if I put mascara on the bottom too. Also, I’m aware I need to buy the full sized product, don’t judge me…

Little Mix ‘Shoutout to My Ex’

Little Mix aren’t usually one of my favourite bands. Although, this song is very catchy and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since it came out. Spookily, its just started playing from my playlist I had going on in the background. Yup, still love it.

Soap & Glory Wonderbronze

Ah, its that time of the year again where I become super pale. So as I don’t want to look like an orange during these colder months I’ve been using this as it still has a warm glow but its light at the same time.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post, comment some of your favourites or a link to your favourites post if you’ve done one this month. Can anyone actually believe its November already? Everything is turning Christmassy and I don’t know whether to be excited or scream its too early. Who knows. Anyways, see you soon.
