A Morning in Southport OOTD #24

Who knows how this happened, but I’m currently 4 people away from 1,000 followers!? For a while it seemed to be an unattainable goal and now I’m so close, its difficult to get my head around it. I also have no idea how to celebrate it? So if you have any ideas, please let me know.

In the meantime, I thought I’d share my morning with you. After moving house its all about finding where things are again, the shops, where to walk the dog and todays task; the beach. I was excited to see what Southport beach was like and to see Alfie’s response to an unfamiliar setting.

1Alfie’s response to the beach did not disappoint, he was inquisitive with everything. It always makes me so happy to see him happily exploring and also trying to drag me into the water with him.

It is extremely difficult to get both of us looking at the camera at the same time.

This pink jacket was a recent purchase and I can honestly say I’m obsessed. It literally goes with every outfit. Hopefully I’ll be going into more detail soon, in a post about key pieces in my wardrobe.

Outfit details:

Top* – Miss Selfridge

Trousers*- New Look

Shoes*- Topshop

Jacket: Topshop

*- I bought the items a while ago, so no longer on site.

65I don’t know how my Dad managed to capture such an image of Alfie but I’m so glad he did. I can’t decide whether its the funniest or weirdly the cutest picture and even though I look absolutely tragic, you can bet its never getting deleted from my camera roll.

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend.

Have you read my last OOTD? You can here.

The BEST Rain Mac?? OOTD#23

Never have I found a pretty rain mac. Until today…

3It’s ROSE SEQUINS. If there ever was a rain mac that spoke to me on a spiritual level it would be this one. I love that it stands out from anything I’ve ever seen before. However, I soon found that it was very difficult to capture the true colour of this mac because it does have quite a pink tone to it. So the best place to see a true reflection of what it looks like is to go to where its from; Topshop.

Sequin Rain Mac

1You can bet my jaw dropped when I saw that Topshop have this in a MINT shade?! They currently have a 70% off sale, that I know I’d be taking advantage of, if I hadn’t just made a purchase. Luckily I did get the mac 30% off in my local OUTFIT.

I flippin’ love this mac and I kind of wish I had a festival to go to because this would fit right in. Otherwise, I’ll just have to wait for some rain to be able to wear it, or some clouds, I’ll go out then too…

Since I’ve featured the rest of the outfit in my last OOTD, there’s no point linking everything again other than that post, which is here.

Other Sequin Items:

Sequin Raw Hem Shacket

Heart Sequin Mac

Light Pink Iridescent Disc Sequin Kimono

Lots of Love, Sophie

OOTD #22: A Hair Change!

Last week, I decided to change my hair a bit. I really craved a change and with the Summer I knew I wanted to go shorter and blonder. Obviously I thought it was a good opportunity to turn the occaison into a post.

Heres the before and after, excusing the annoying snapchat text…

81Clearly its not the biggest difference but I just love the colour in the second picture so much more.

Anyways, onto what I wore on that day..

This top is my most recent purchase and I’m really loving this mustard colour at the minute. Its from New Look and whilst I couldn’t find this exact one they do have similar ones that I thought I’d link.

Mustard Yellow Tie Button Front Top

Mustard V Neck Button Front Shirt

Yellow Ribbed Button Front Vest

75The rest of the outfit I have definitely mentioned before, they’re just so comfy and I can put them together with anything.

Trousers (H&M)

Similar trousers found on ASOS

Trainers (TopshopI don’t know what I’d do if Topshop ever got rid of these, they’re just too affordable not to love.

Are you enjoying the Summer?

Lots of Love,

OOTD #21- Last Exam

I’M BACK!! Granted I only missed two posts but it has felt like a lifetime. Nothing could make me happier that I’m sat at the table blogging instead of my usual revision. But a levels are finally finished so I thought I’d share what I wore for my last exam…

I bought these trousers recently and I’m in love. For ages, I always liked the colour pink but never imagined I could wear it, now my wardrobe is 40% pink and I am not complaining.

Top- Pull & Bear

Trousers- New Look

Shoes- Topshop

My Last OOTD.

What have you been up to recently?

Lots of Love,

OOTD #20 Interview (no.5)

It has been a LONG week. What with trial exam week in College and having my last university interview, I am very tired. But anyways, on Wednesday I had an interview at Bolton and I got offered an unconditional offer! It’s a new Fashion course starting in September so maybe that’s the reason for it being an unconditional. Either way, the interview went really well and it was good to end the uni interview experience on such a high (it has been a JOURNEY).

Whilst I have a big decision to make this weekend, I thought I’d share my last interview OOTD…

1I LOVED this outfit. Do you ever just feel really good when you find a new combination within your wardrobe and it didn’t require you to go out and buy anything new? Well this was me, I discovered that I flippin’ love these shades together.

Heres what I’m wearing:

Off the Shoulder Cropped Jumper

3When I was plaiting my hair that morning I did not think they had been the slightest bit successful. But in this picture it really doesn’t look that bad. The low bun was just not going to have every strand of hair in place and I accepted that pretty quickly.

OOTD #19 Interview (no.4)

I have come to the realisation I can’t take outfit pictures away from my garden. My back garden seems to be my comfort zone and whenever I’ve been in different cities for University Interviews, I just can’t seem to bring myself to get my Dad to get some pictures. Mainly, because I’m nervous for the interview but also because cities are busy ok? Living in a small, quiet town, I’m just not used to it all.

Anyways, I had my interview at Liverpool John Moores University on Wednesday and whilst it was a very tiring day (a nice 4 am wake up call) I still wanted to do an ootd to carry on this interview series I have going on.

4We can just excuse my appearance in these pictures, it had been a long day.

Starting off with the leather jacket, I have probably had this for a couple of years now and I really believe that because of the quality, it doesn’t show any signs of age or normal wear and tear.

Originally bought from Miss Selfridge. Due to the time, I didn’t think I’d be able to find the EXACT jacket but I’m pretty sure its this Black Bella PU Biker Jacket.

One day, I’d love to be able to afford this Acne Leather Jacket because it would be such a staple in your wardrobe.

Briefly mentioning the trousers. As I said in my last post, they are really versatile, last week I dressed down to have a casual day and for the interview I styled them a bit more formal. If you want to know where I bought them and a similar pair, you can read last weeks post here.

As for the boots, I ADORE these. I originally purchased them from River Island but they’re no longer available on the website and I really struggled to find a similar pair. They’re surprisingly comfortable to walk in and if you’d like a closer look you can here.

I bought the top from Pull & Bear and if Pull & Bear was anywhere near me it would be my next obsession. Unfortunately, the store I bought this top from was in Dublin. However, overall I think the brand itself seems to be really well priced and I will be very excited to eventually get my hands on more from here. This top is unbelievably comfortable and surprisingly good quality.

Apart from the colour, this isn’t similar, I just thought it was so edgy I had to share. Striped cropped Jacket.

The good news is I got an offer from Liverpool John Moores University to study Fashion: Design and Communication!

Lots of Love,

OOTD #18 My Mums Birthday

It was my Mum’s birthday on Sunday but because she had to work we ended up celebrating it on Thursday. I needed a casual but still nice outfit for during the day, because I was the designated driver for our plans I also wanted to be comfortable. Anyways, I paired this combination together and I LOVED it, if I do say so myself…

Off Shoulder Cropped Jumper- Topshop

Ahh its a rarity I find the exact item online. I LOVE this Jumper though, its so comfortable and I don’t own anything else in this colour.

Trousers- H&M

Similar Trousers Here

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the exact trousers I’m wearing. However, I found similar ones that are a close match. I think these are really versatile, and a good fit; slightly high waisted.

Shoes- Topshop

These were a recent purchase and I don’t even need to tell you how good they are. I had these in pink and wore them CONSTANTLY. Therefore, I had to buy them again, but this time in white. The real question is how long will they stay that white? I’m thinking maximum, a week.

OOTD #17 Interview (no.3)

Recently, I haven’t quite been in the right head space. It seemed to be bad news after bad news, stress after stress and I found myself dragging myself through each day. Currently, I’ve decided to be grateful for the little things; the weekend being sunny for once; getting to take Alfie for long walks and the ‘Your Time Capsule’ Playlist on Spotify.

Anyways, into the post, this is my (maybe) last university interview. This is my ootd I wore for Manchester Metropolitan interview. I didn’t get accepted. (While I was gutted) Everything happens for a reason.

5Top: New Look

Trousers: H&M

Boots: River Island

*Things I can’t find I still include the brand I bought them from.

How are you?

Lots of Love,

OOTD #16 Interview (no.2)

I have to say my second interview was definitely much more nerve wracking than the first. I really wanted some cool pictures, but with stress of getting there on time and having to use my Dad’s not great camera quality, everything just ended in a bit of a mess.

Heres what I wore and how I got on…

1Shirt: Topshop/Similar

Coat: New Look

Trousers: New Look/Similar

Bag: Topshop/Similar

Boots: New Look

I came out of the interview and cried. I just felt that whatever I was saying just wasn’t enough. But a day later, I actually got an offer from Northumbria University to study Fashion. So that was VERY exciting. I’m super excited for what’s to come/slightly stressed.

 Lots of Love,

OOTD #15: Interview (no.1)

I don’t even know my Blogging schedule anymore. But I’ve had a busy couples weeks (and its not about to slow down for a couple more) so I’m telling myself that as long as I post at some point during the week, then I’m ok.

Anyways, part of the reason I’ve been so busy is because I’ve been preparing for upcoming interviews for Universities and Colleges. Yesterday, I had an informal interview for a College to do a foundation course (its my back up plan if I don’t get into University). I knew it was going to be really laid back and only half an hour, so because I was going straight from College I didn’t put too much effort into my outfit.

Having said all that, I thought I’d share what I wore and will do this with my other interviews…

I’ve applied to do a creative subject so in each one of these interview ootd’s, I’ll be carrying that big art folder to put my portfolio work in. As you can see, we’ve had snow, but the snow is more icy so I was definitely going to wear flat shoes. I loved the blouse I was wearing, I think the detailing is beautiful and I really wish I’d managed to get a picture of the sleeves but it was far too cold to take my coat off. Speaking of my coat, this is my most recent purchase and I LOVE it. I don’t know how I didn’t already own a rain coat and I think the navy line detailing is so cute.

Folder– I bought mine years ago so here’s a similar one.

Earrings- Guess

Blouse- H&M (I couldn’t find it on their website)

Jeans- New Look

Bag- TOPSHOP (similar)

Lots of Love,
