Rapid Fire Book Tag

Finally, a longer post is appearing on this blog. I’m so excited to actually have the time to write this post, she says writing this post far too late in the evening. Anyways, what was even more exciting was getting tagged to do the Rapid Fire Book Tag by the lovely Hannah Grace (blog: hannahreads2001.wordpress.com). I love reading Hannah’s post, I’d like to think I haven’t missed one of her uploads yet. If you’re not already following Hannah Grace, you must definitely should.

On to the post, if you know me by now, you’ll know I need to include pictures in EVERY post, I just have to, okay, its just not complete otherwise. So as I’m answering the questions, I’ll be including pictures of some of my favourite books I own.

1. EBooks or Physical Books?

Physical. I have tried EBooks but its just not the same. I think I just prefer having actual paper pages to turn.

2. Paperbacks or Hardbacks?

I like both but probably paperbacks since the majority of my books are paperback.

3. Online or in store book shopping?

In store. I don’t think I’ve ever actually ordered online for books.

4. Trilogies or Series?

Neither, I pretty much just read stand alone books.

5. Heroes or Villains?

Heroes obviously because they’re the good guys. But you have to admit Villains make the plot more interesting.

6. A book you want everyone to read?

Flawed- Cecelia Ahern. I don’t think I will ever get over that book. I’m currently in the process of getting others to read it too.

7. Recommend an Underrated book.

Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella- I’ve mentioned this book in numerous posts now.

8. The last book I finished.

Finding Audrey– Sophie Kinsella. (I reviewed it in my most recent post of Sophie’s Book Club)

9. Weirdest thing you have used as a book mark?

Don’t hate me, but I usually just turn the corner of the page. I think when I was younger I used a school picture when they print it off really small. Clearly that’s just vanity at its finest for you.

10. Used Books, yes or no?

YES of course, why ever not? I only occasionally have a book in mind that I want to read, that I go out and purchase. Other than that, both my Mum and I don’t mind scouring a charity shop to pick up books. Yesterday, we bought 4 books for a £1, so you can’t really go wrong with 25p a book.

11. Top 3 Favourite Genres

Romance. Mystery. Drama.

12. Borrow or Buy?

For sure buy. I usually end up loving most books I read and as soon as I fall in love with a book I don’t tend to want to let go of it. I think it would be cool if I had someone other than my Mum to swap books with but I’d probably end up buying myself a copy of whatever I borrowed.

13. Characters or the Plot.

I would say the characters because I do like to be able to connect to them in some way and really visualise myself from their perspective. However, if there’s no storyline going I can become disinterested very quickly. So I’d say both.

14. Long or Short Books.

Somewhere in the middle? Otherwise, if its the type of book I can’t put down then I feel like I could carry on reading it for a lifetime. At the same time if a book is too short then I get a bit disappointed because I haven’t had time to grow with the characters.

15. Name the first three books you think of.

Me before you- jojo moyes

Paper Towns – John Green

The perks of being a wallflower- Stephen Chbosky.

16. Books that make you cry or laugh?

Cry. I know its been a good book if its managed to make me bawl.

17. Our world or fictional worlds?

With everything going on in our world at the minute, I’d probably say fictional worlds. In the books I read there seems to be less tragedy there.

18. Audio Books yes or no?

No. Just no.

19. Do you ever judge a book by its cover?

Hard to tell, I guess I do in some ways otherwise I’d be reading the back of every book I see.

20. Book to Movie or Book to Tv adaptation?

Book to Movie. I don’t think I’ve read a book that’s been turned into a tv series.

Series or Standalone.

I haven’t read too many series. Usually I’m quite content with a standalone book and prefer that the author has included everything in one book.

One ‘series’ (if you can call it that) is the one by Cecelia Ahern. She’s recently brought out a sequel to ‘Flawed‘ called ‘Perfect‘ I’m so excited to read it since I adored the first. Just got to get my hands on it now…

Anyone who wants to complete this tag, feel free to!

Hope you enjoyed this blog post, its definitely a longer one. I’m currently at work whilst this is up but I’ll reply to any comments and basically just become active as soon as I can. See you soon.

Love, Sophie

About Me

Yesterday, I decided not to upload, out of respect for the London Attack. My thoughts go out to all involved and families of those.

Anyways, on a more positive note, recently in Photography I have been quite pleased with the outcome of the pictures I’ve been taking.

And whilst I didn’t want this to just be pictures I was kindly nominated by Hannah Cole to do the Blue Sky Tag. However, I feel like I’ve done quite a lot of tags recently so I thought I’d cheat and just answer the questions instead.

What is your favourite food?

Ben & Jerrys Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream. Lasagne. Steak pie. Chips. Most foods really.

Where is your favourite place you’ve visited?

What is your greatest achievement to date?

GCSE’s?? I’m really not sure. Kind of feel like I’m too young to have any good ones. Kind of think I’m just not thinking hard enough.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be?

To not worry about the future because so far everything’s going alright.

What is your favourite song at the moment?

Green light- Lorde

If you could take up any hobby, what would it be?

Making YouTube Videos but to be honest I don’t have the courage to do it.

Where would you visit if you could go anywhere and why?

New York. There’s so many places on my travel list but I think New York is where I could see and do the most.

What is your favourite sea create/animal from the sea?

Dolphins. One day, I want to do that swimming with dolphins thing.

If you could recommend a book to someone, what would you recommend and why?

Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella. I read it years ago and so did my Mum. We both fell in love with the book instantly and still recommend it to people today.

What is your earliest childhood memory?

I’m pretty sure it was back in Nursery? Is it even possible to remember that far back? I remember snack time of having the cartons of milk and a Bourbon biscuit. Trust me to remember the memory that involves food

What’s one thing you could not live without?

I know my Mum is not a ‘thing’. But I couldn’t imagine life without my Mum she’s my best friend.

Hope you enjoyed this mashed up post. I love sharing my photography. Anyways see you soon.

Love, Sophie

About Me

Get to Know Me

Here’s another tag for you all to enjoy. At some point (all the days are rolling into one at the minute) I was very kindly nominated by Hannah Cole to do this ‘Get To Know Me’ Tag. So let’s get into it…

This tag was originally started by Stomper Dad.

1. Who are you named after?

I was named after no one for my first name. But my middle name; (which was actually going to be my first) Samantha, was the name of one of my Mums best friends when we used to live in Manchester.

2. Do you like your handwriting?

I mean it’s just handwriting isn’t it? I’d say mines average in the sense that you can read it. I’m pretty sure my handwriting changes on a daily basis though.

3. What is your favourite lunch meat?

Chicken. End of.

4. Longest Relationship?

0 minutes, 0 hours and 0 days. Pretty good right?

5. Do you still have your tonsils?

6. Would you bungee jump?

I’d love to think I’d be brave enough. But no, I mean why would I trust a harness and some rope to bring me back up and not just let me plummet into earth?!

I’ve just succeeded in giving myself nightmares tonight.

7. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?

Well I’m pretty sure I only have one pair of shoes that have laces in the first place. And with them I have to untie them cause they’re really old, so I’d get my foot stuck if I didn’t.

8. Favourite Ice cream?

Ben & Jerrys Chocolate Fudge Brownie.

9. What is the first thing you notice about people?

Is this supposed to be like someone’s eyes? Smile? Cause for sure I notice what someone’s wearing first.

10. Football or Baseball?

Neither. Do you think I’m an athletic person? If I had to pick one I’d go baseball because I’ve played that on WII Sport. That’s about my limit when it comes to that.

11. What colour pants are you wearing?

Black Jeans.

12. Last thing you ate?

It’s so long ago since I last ate, I haven’t got a clue.

13. If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?

Blue. Don’t know why, but it’s a cool colour right?

14. Favourite smell?

How can I pick one? The smell of coffee (even though I don’t drink it), cut grass, fresh flowers.

15. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?

My Dad.

16. Hair colour?

Ash blonde?? I really don’t know. I get blonde highlights put in.

17. Eye colour?

18. Favourite Foods to eat?

Grapes. Chocolate Muffin from Greggs. Lasagne (I have to have made it.) Steak Pie (My Mum has to have made it.)

19. Scary Movies or Happy Endings?

Happy endings.

20. Last movie you watched?

Vanished without a trace…it’s a very old movie.

21. Favourite Holdiay?

Christmas, obviously.

22. Beer or Wine?

Neither. I don’t drink.

23. Night owl or Early Bird?

Neither. I go to sleep around 11 and wake up no later than 8:30. Unless I have an early class then I’ll be up at 6:30.

24. Favourite Day of the Week?

Saturday. I usually set this day aside to not do any college work.

25. Which of your three favourite bloggers do you want to know more about?

Blush off the Haters

Anchored Teapot

26. Who are the latest three people to follow your blog?

Girlfriends Guide to Beauty

Hope you enjoyed this blog post. Sorry for the lack of pictures I’ve just been really busy this week to have time to take any. Plus I have a memory of a sieve. Anyways see you soon.

Love, Sophie

About Me

Blogger Recognition & Versatile Blogger Awards

I was so grateful to have been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by the lovely Hannah Cole and for the Versatile Blogger Award by the sweet Signed by Olivia. If you don’t follow either of these bloggers I suggest you do, I love reading their posts.

So, I’m going to do both awards in one post. Therefore, I apologise for the length of this.

Blogger Recognition Award

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  2. Write a post to show your award.
  3. Give a brief story about how your blog started.
  4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.

The Start of Sophie Samantha

Its times like this one, where I wish I knew why I started my blog. I cannot think of my thought process, but I do remember wanting to have a blog for a few months before I actually took the plunge. Obviously, I’m very grateful because 2 years later, my blog is my favourite hobby.

I’m not the best person to give advice, but I’ll give it a go..

  1. DON’T put too much pressure on yourself. Even now, I sometimes find myself stressing out because I can’t think of what post I want to create or the post will be going up later than I’d like. If you love the content you create then that should be the focus.
  2. DO reach out to other bloggers. What has made me love blogging even more is being able to interact with other people. For example, pretty much everyday without fail I read what everyone has been posting and make a point to write a comment. It makes the whole experience of blogging even more enjoyable.

Bloggers I am Nominating

  1. Taking On The W0rld

  3. Train of Idea
  4. Blissful Life Project
  5. Jessica G Allen

  2. Nominate Bloggers of your choice.
  3. Link the nominees and inform them of their nomination.
  4. Share 7 Facts about yourself.

Bloggers I am Nominating

  1. Béline
  2. According to Ing
  3. Hattie Loves Sunshine

My 7 Facts

  1. I like to make lists. Just on the Reminders app that comes automatically on the iPhone. It usually annoys me because I always seem to have a lot to do. But nevertheless I like lists as it reminds me of everything I need to do.
  2. Moving on from that point, I’m a very forgetful person. Hence why I need to make lists.
  3. Oh yeah, I zone out a lot. Mainly at College, which probably isn’t the best thing.
  4. I have a recurring nightmare that I can’t escape somewhere, I’ll go to the exit that is there in real life and it wont be there in the dream. Or I dream I suddenly have no shoes on but I’ll be in town, weird I know.
  5. I need space. I can never seem to be able to talk to someone constantly. I don’t mean face to face but over the phone through Snapchat, texting. I just can’t do it. I have no idea what’s wrong with me.
  6. Sometimes I’ll randomly start cleaning and 6 hours later I’ll still be cleaning. Its this obsession I seem to have that once I start I can’t stop. I’ll go from just clearing up my vanity to cleaning light switches… its that bad.
  7. I love going on long walks and just exploring. Everyone I know probably thinks I’m weird for it, but its definitely something I’m excited to do more of as the weather starts to improve.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post and it wasn’t too long including two awards in one. I ended up writing really deep facts about myself basically telling you all how weird I am. Its not my first time of being nominated for these awards- which I’m grateful about. However, I obviously struggle to think of facts about myself. Anyways, see you soon.

Love, Sophie

About Me

The Versatile Blogger Award

It’s been such a hectic week, I literally had no clue what to blog about. So I’ll definitely have to get a bit more organised in planning posts. Anyways, I was kindly nominated by the lovely bloggers Little Girl From Wales and Aoife. If you don’t already you should be following the pair of these. I love their blogs!

  • Thank the person that nominated you.
  • Share the award on your blog
  • Share 7 random facts about yourself
  • Tag 10 bloggers with less than 1000 followers and let them know they’ve been nominated.

Heads up that I’m not going to be tagging 10 other bloggers because this post is already late and I do a lot of these awards, so I don’t want to keep nominating the same people.

  1. I’ve probably mentioned this so many times. But my 9 month old Golden Retriever, Alfie, is literally my world. Even if he is also the naughtiest puppy.

2. Very few people know about my blog and that’s not because I don’t want them to know it’s rather that I have no idea how you put that sort of thing into conversation.

3. I have a half brother, who recently randomly turned up in my life and with anything, it’s complicated.

4. I’m usually such a quiet person. I am trying to become more talkative. And some days I do have a day where I just won’t stop talking. So if you ever talk to me on one of those days, then I’m sorry.

5. Sarcasm might as well be my middle name. I’m very much a sarcastic person but I don’t intend to be, I just have a dry sense of humour.

6. I like changes in my life but only if I’m in control of them. Which never really happens so I guess I’ve just completely contradicted myself.

7. Even when I try my hardest at something I tell myself it’s still never enough. I always persuade myself that I could have done more.

Hope you enjoyed this short post. Sorry for the random photos, these are all from previous posts I just couldn’t not include pictures in a blog post, it would be way too boring. See you soon,

Love, Sophie

About Me

10 Things I’m Grateful For…

The lovely Béline from Blog Oceane  created a post to express the things she’s most grateful for. The basic idea is to write 10 things you’re grateful for and then nominate someone else to do the same. I was super appreciative to be nominated because I thought this was such a unique idea and I just really love Béline’s blog, so please do follow.

Anyways, onto the things I’m grateful for, I also wanted to incorporate the pictures I’ve recently taken…

1. My Mum – Definitely someone I’m grateful for is my Mum, I honestly look up to her for a plethora of reasons and I would be lost without her.

2. Alfie- if you didn’t know (although I don’t know how that’s possible) I have an 8 month old, Golden Retriever. Even though he’s been really hard work I wouldn’t have it any other way because there’s never a day he doesn’t make me smile.

3. Blogging- Truthfully, I think I would feel so alone and bored if I didn’t have the blogging community. I just love the whole process; writing a blog post; taking pictures for a post and talking to other bloggers through the comments.

4. Friends- I think this one is pretty self-explanatory, but where would anyone be without their friends?! I have to say right now I’m very grateful for the group of friends I have right now. Basically, if you know me in real life and are reading this, I appreciate you very much and thank you for being a close friend.

5. Travelling- I am so thankful that I have had the chance to go abroad pretty much every year and I can’t wait to carry that on through the future.

6. Education- who wouldn’t be grateful for this? I mean Tanya Burr once said in a post ’62 million girls are still out of education because of their gender’ so how could I not be appreciative of being able to go to school and be starting sixth form in September.

img_9596 7. Make-up- if makeup wasn’t a thing then I think the amount of times I’ve thought of myself as being slightly pretty would have decreased a lot. At the same time, makeup has helped me realise that sometimes I don’t need to wear it to feel confident.

8. T.v/YouTube- this definitely isn’t as important as Education but it’s something I rely on when I’m procrastinating or just in general very bored.

9. Clothes– Apart from the obvious worry if clothes weren’t a thing and the fact that you can use clothes to express who you are.

10. Health – touch wood (don’t think I didn’t) I haven’t been seriously ill. So I am very grateful to have good health the majority of the time.

The Bloggers I’d like to nominate are:

Not your classroom

Little Miss Daydreams

Taking On the W0rld

Hope you enjoyed this post, I thought it was such a cute post to do and it just reminds you of the things you’re grateful for. See you soon.

Love, Sophie

The Five Senses Tag

The lovely Em from the blog Adventures of a Lost Teen nominated me to do the Five Senses Tag, so thank you so much for tagging me and if you don’t already follow her you really need to.

Anyways the Rules are:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. For each of the five senses (or as many as you do) describe five of your favourite things having to do with that sense.
  3. Nominate 5 other people to do this tag.

-Alfie (My 7 month old golden retriever pup is always cute to watch…not in a creepy way obviously)

-My Room

-Old photographs

-Freshly cut grass

-Sun cream

-Baked bread

-Coffee (even though I don’t think I’ve tried an actual coffee I really like the smell of it)

-Rain on a window

-The crunch of leaves underneath your feet during Autumn (not that I’m wishing to hear that sound anytime soon

-Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream (Cookie Dough & Fudge Brownie are the nicest ones)

-Creamy Pasta

-Home made chips

-Icy Water (its really the only thing I drink, so its really nice during the Summer)

-Strawberry Frappe (from Café Nero is amazing)

Things to Feel

-Teddy Bear Blanket

-Makeup Brushes

-Padded Pens (this sounds really weird but you know them really good quality pens that are really smooth to touch and feel super comfortable to write with? No? Okay well I’m sure padded pens aren’t the correct name..)

The people I’d like to see complete this tag are:

Blog Oceane

Azura Skye

Little Girl From Wales

Sunshine And Teacups

Hope you enjoyed this post. I really loved this tag its different to others that I usually do. Anyways, see you soon.

Love, Sophie

About Me

Liebster Award

I was so happy to find out the lovely blogger from Gurlthinking had nominated me for the Liebster Award. If you don’t already follow her, then you really need to.

Basically, the rules are: you mention the blogger that nominated you; include 10 facts about yourself; answer the questions that were made by the person that nominated you; make up some questions of your own and don’t forget to nominate some people yourself!

10 facts- or not

I have done a Liebster award before and as I’m still very grateful for being nominated again, I don’t think there’s much more for me to tell you about myself. So I’m just going to move on and start answering some questions…

What was the idea behind your blogs name?

This one is pretty simple. My blog name is my actual name. With Sophie being my first name and Samantha being my middle name.

This was my first blog logo type thing… *cringe*

What 5 people would you invite to a dinner party, Dead or Alive?

First, I would definitely have to have Taylor Swift because I’ve been a massive fan for so long now. Next, I’d have to invite Zac Efron, you know, to have someone nice to look at. Then I would invite Martin Luther King because he is such an inspirational person to me. Also, I would have to invite Prince Harry because he seems so down to earth and I feel like I would have a better conversation with him than the other Royals that maybe a bit more reserved. Finally, I would invite John Green because as I love every single one of his books I feel like we could have a lot to talk about.

What is your favourite item of clothing?

This is pretty boring but I’d have to say my black high waisted jeans are probably my favourite. Mainly because they’re so versatile, whenever I can I’ll try to wear them.

Who inspires you and why?

I knew the answer to this one straight away and it has to be my Mum. My Mum is so kind to everyone she meets, always tries to help others and if ‘Best Mum Award’ was a thing then mine would win hands down.

What is something embarrassing that you have done or has happened to you?

I literally embarrass myself everyday so this one was really difficult. However, one that tops all is that when I was on holiday in Cyprus, a couple years ago, I got dehydrated and passed out. At the time, I was in the outside restaurant near the pool and I regained consciousness with a group of people surrounding me. To top it off the first words I had were ‘I’m going to be sick’. Finally, to make things worse the life guard, whom played a big part in helping me, brought over a sunbed for me to lie on in the middle of the restaurant. So while people were enjoying their lunch I was taking a little lay down shall we say…

Sorry for the bad quality photo, but just to the right of this picture was where the restaurant was.

Past Holidays 2 Cyprus #1

What would your biography be called?

I loved this question but I had no clue what it would be called. But even though this isn’t great it would be something like ‘It’s only just begun’. Mainly because if this biography was coming out tomorrow for example (even though at this point it would be 10 pages long). I feel as though I’m just where I can start making decisions about careers and how I want my life to start panning out.

What are three things you want to achieve by the time you’re 30?

First, ultimate happiness, to be content in general. Next, would be to say I’ve completed most or all of my Travel List. Finally, to have a stable job that I love, whether that’s my own business or whatever path I decide to go down.

Three words that best describe your personality/life?

I didn’t want to seem boastful or vain about this so I decided to ask my Mum. So her answers were: Funny; fashionable and kind. (+thoughtful but then that’s 4, never mind, I’ll take the extra compliment.)

What is your biggest pet peeve/hate?

I would say there’s nothing that stands out as being the ‘biggest’. So I thought I’d just mention a few things that tend to annoy me: clutter; if you’re late; rudeness; arrogance and when waiters come over to ask how your food is and they’ve literally just placed it down or you have a mouth full of food so you just have to murmur something that might as well be a different language.

If you could re-create any movie scene what would it be?

It would probably be from the Notebook. Either when they’re at the fair right at the beginning, or when they’re out on the lake and it starts to rain or when they argue at the end. Basically the whole movie.

My Questions are:

  1. Which country would you most like to visit and why?
  2. What is your favourite song at the moment?
  3. Is there a language you would like to learn? If you already know another language what is it?
  4. What was the last movie you watched? And did you enjoy it?
  5. Who is your favourite author? Or book?
  6. Who are your top 3 inspirational people?
  7. Where is your happy place?
  8. What do you like to do in your spare time?
  9. What would be your ideal, dream job? If you already have that, what is it?
  10. What do you see as being your main goal in life?

Thank you so much to Gurlthinking for nominating me. Here are the people I’m nominating (its not many, however, I’ve already nominated quite a few people in previous posts.)

Blog Oceane

The Savage Savannah

Kay Anne

Simply, Me

I love reading these bloggers posts, so I can’t wait to read their answers.

Hope you enjoyed this post, it definitely gave you a bit more information about me. Feel free to like, comment and follow. See you soon.

Love, Sophie

About Me

Beauty Blogger Tag

I was so grateful when I got nominated for this by the lovely Hattiesmithers (if you’re not already following her, then please do I love her blog!). Anyways, I got nominated about a week ago, so for me this is going up quite late, but when I went back to school this week everything other than school became a blur. I’m very excited to do this tag and I should be back to doing normal posts next week.

The Rules are:

Tag the blogger who nominated you.

Answer the questions set for you.

Come up with 10 questions of your own.

Nominate other bloggers and don’t forget to tell them!

  1. What is your favourite Makeup brand and why?

This probably changes every week but at the minute I’m loving L’Oreal. Not just makeup, hair care, everything. I think its my favourite because its really affordable and all their products are of a high quality.

blogger award 3

2. What was the inspiration for your blog?

I don’t think I had one particular inspiration for my blog. It was mainly just me wanting to start something people could read and I would enjoy doing. To be fair I didn’t realise I’d be so consistent, never mind keep this up for over a year.

3. What is your holy grail make up product?

This question is so difficult. I think I’m going to say any of my Dior or Chanel lip products, because I was just so happy for like a month after receiving them. Also, I have them on my dressing table just to see them everyday-don’t judge

blogger award 2

4. Beauty Blender or Makeup brush?

Is it bad I haven’t tried a beauty blender yet? I actually do want to but on my ‘Makeup Shopping List’ there’s always something above it. So I guess I’d have to say Makeup Brush, I absolutely love the Real Techniques ones.

blogger award 5

5. What is your favourite affordable makeup brand?

I’d say L’Oreal is pretty affordable. But picking a different favourite I’d say Bourjois, I love their products so much. Pretty much had a quiet addiction (if that’s a thing?!) to their products since Christmas now.

blogger award 4

6. What is your favourite hobby/pastime?

Apart from School work, which I’m not classing as a hobby, all I do is blog, take photos and shop. Literally, I’m blogging now, I’ve just ordered some stuff from H&M and after this I’m going to take pictures for this post.

7. If you could only put on one makeup product for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Concealer. However, I’m beginning to actually feel comfortable going out with no makeup on. I’d still pick concealer because it just makes your complexion in general look great. I’d probably pick the No7 Match Made Concealer.

8. Who is your favourite youtuber/blogger?

I can’t pick a favourite I’m loving so many, especially youtubers. Zoella, Hannah Renée, Fabulous Hannah.

9. What is your best beauty advice?

Start minimal. You can always build it up with foundation coverage, eye shadow, etc. But its just going to look worse if you try and apply too much at once. Also, YouTube is amazing if you’re just starting off with makeup.

10. What is your favourite brand for lipsticks?

Mac. For sure, I just need more money to spend on them. But a cheaper alternative I love the Rimmel Lipsticks, they’re so good especially for the price of them.

blogger award

11. Who/what makes you happiest?

My Mum or Alfie. But an actual thing would probably be my camera or laptop so I can blog. Basically, my Puppy and Blogging makes me happiest.

10 Questions

  1. Where do you prefer to shop for makeup (i.e Boots or Superdrug)?
  2. Would you rather live without any lip product or concealer?
  3. Is there a price you wouldn’t pay for makeup?

Liebster Award

Can I just say, THANK YOU SO MUCH for 200 followers. That might not be a lot to some people but to me it means the world. To think it took me a year of blogging to reach 100 followers, to then gain another hundred in a couple of months, is insane. Anyways, that’s why there’s an extra post this weekend.

So I got tagged to do the Liebster Award, which I am very grateful for, by the lovely blogger Rose- Tinted Rambles. If you’re not following her, then why not? Like seriously do so. Here’s Rose-Tinted Rambles original post.

Basically, I tell you 11 facts about me. Then answer questions Rose-Tinted Rambles set for me. Afterwards I tag 11 other bloggers and ask my own 11 questions for those bloggers.

My 11 Facts About Me

  1. I’ve had a puppy now for nearly 2 months and he’s already one of my best friends.
  2. I probably spend most of my time blogging, or thinking about what I could blog about, when in reality I should be revising….guess what I’m supposed to be doing right now.
  3. I pretty much just drink water apart from the occasional tea or hot chocolate. And even then I don’t drink enough water.
  4. I was born in Manchester, U.K. But now live on the opposite side of the country.
  5. I’m in Year 11 and I’m literally counting down the days to my long Summer off before sixth form/college.
  6. I’m super clumsy, so much so that I’ve dropped my phone so much I can’t go far in my house without losing Wi-Fi because I’ve damaged some sort of signal on the corners.
  7. I’ve been super fortunate to travel to some picturesque countries and I can only hope to carry on travelling.
  8. It really gets me down when I try hard at things and I don’t do as well as I’d wanted.
  9. When I was younger, I used to do ballet, karate, swimming and this must have scarred me in some way as I haven’t participated in physical activity for a good 5 years now, (I just attend P.E). This is excluding walking and yoga, I’m not that lazy…
  10. I know all the lines in Friends, that I could play the part myself.
  11. My only goal in life is to just be happy.

Questions from Rose-Tinted Rambles

Where is your happy place?

I don’t really have a specific place its just anywhere outside of school. Can you sense my hatred for that place yet?

Would you rather go out wearing no foundation or without your eyebrows filled in?

I don’t fill in my eyebrows so this is an easy one for me.

What is your favourite book?

Usually I’d say ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ by John Green. However, I’ve loved ‘All the Bright Places’, by Jennifer Niven, so can I have 2 Favourites?

What do you love most about blogging?

I love that you have your own little platform to write whatever interests you most. And then on top of that to be able to share your opinions with others and discuss it.

What’s your favourite childhood possession?

I wish I had saved more from my childhood but unfortunately I haven’t really. However, I have kept one thing its still on my bed to this day. Basically, I have this old stuffed dog called Max, he just stays tucked away in my room.

If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I really want to say chocolate. But I want to think logically about this, so I’d have to say potatoes. Then I can have roast potatoes, wedges, chips, fries, potato waffles, jacket potato.

Lions or Tigers?

I don’t know why but tigers.

Who is your favourite Disney Princess?

If you could only wear one makeup brand for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?

If money was no object, I’d say Dior. But if it was then I’d say No7.

What is your favourite Season?

Summer. By far. You have better outfit choices, everyone seems to be happier and you get a tan.

Would you rather run a marathon or do heavy weight lifting for 4 hours?

Neither sounds very appealing to me. But if I had to do one I think I’d choose run a marathon. Let’s be honest, I have never seen anyone full scale running that thing, they’re always ‘pacing themselves’ or whatever. So I think I could pretty much get away with ‘slow paced’ walking a marathon.
